Director Of Sumarecon Agung Oon Nusihono Examined By KPK For Money Laundering Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned the Director of Sumarecon Agung Oon Nusihono. He was examined as a witness related to the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU) carried out by the inactive Bekasi Mayor Rahmat Effendi or Pepen.

"Oon Nusihono, Director of Sumarecon Agung is being questioned as a witness for the suspect RE," said Acting Spokesperson for the KPK for Enforcement, Ali Fikri in a written statement, Monday, April 11.

Apart from Oon, investigators have also scheduled the examination of a number of witnesses to investigate allegations of money laundering by Pepen. They are the Head of the Bekasi West Java Bank (BJB) Branch, Ahmad Faisal; BPJS Employment Bekasi Heri Subroto; and Marketing BIT Money Changer Mall Metropolitan Bekasi Peter Soeganda.

Ali did not elaborate further regarding the examination of the four. However, they are suspected of knowing about money laundering allegations carried out by Pepen. Previously, the KPK developed a case of alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as the auction of positions that ensnared Pepen. As a result, he was later named a suspect in the alleged crime of money laundering (TPPU).

This determination is made after the investigator collects evidence from the examination of witnesses. From this activity, the KPK suspects that Pepen has committed a series of actions to spend, hide, or disguise assets obtained from accepting bribes.

For information, in the alleged bribery case, Pepen was named a suspect in receiving bribes along with the Secretary of the Investment and PTSP Service, M Bunyamin; Head of Jatisari Village, Mulyadi; Jatisampurna Sub-district Head, Wahyudin; and Head of the Bekasi City Housing, Settlement and Land Office, Jumhana Lutfi.

Meanwhile, the bribe giver is the Director of PT MAM Energindo, Ali Amril; private party, Lai Bui Min; Director of Kota Bintang Rayatri, Suryadi; and the sub-district head of Rawalumbu, Makhfud Saifudin.
