Thousands Of Joint Officers Already Marching In The Field, Ready To Face Students At The Horse Statue - Monas

JAKARTA - Thousands of joint personnel were deployed to secure student demonstrations in the State Palace area, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 11, morning. The joint security gathering was led by the Head of the Metro Jaya Police, Inspector General M. Fadil Imran.

"Around 5.626 joint personnel were deployed for security in the area of the State Palace and around Monas," said Inspector General M. Fadil Imran to reporters after leading a troop rally at the National Monument (Monas) Cup, Central Jakarta.

The Regional Police Chief emphasized that joint officers are ready to protect the student demonstrations on April 11.

"Kodam Jaya and Metro Jaya Police are very ready to face those who will violate the law and commit criminal acts," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the time limit for the demonstration, the joint apparatus saw that the application of the clock could be situational.

"We just follow the provisions, but the rules are not fixed. Situational in nature," he said.

Even according to the information gathered, there are several groups that will join the demonstration and without a letter regarding permission to the police, the Regional Police Chief (Kapolda) has been wary of them.

"We are aware of all possibilities. We have assigned the officers to make observations in the field," he said.
