KLATEN - The Klaten Resort Police has secured 175 motorbikes involved in illegal racing at Simpang 3 SGM, Kemudo Village, Prambanan District, Sunday, April 10.

This illegal racing action was carried out by the Subuh Patrol Team formed by the Klaten Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo to secure the holy month of Ramadan 1443 H.

The Subuh Patrol Team conducts patrols every day at hours that have the potential for security disturbances such as illegal racing, clashes between youth groups and fireworks.

“Today the team received reports of illegal racing. The activities of these youths were greatly complained of by the surrounding community and passing motorists, because they interfered with comfort and were also dangerous. said Klaten Police Chief AKBP Eko Prasetyo through the Head of Public Relations Iptu Abdillah, in a written statement, Sunday, April 10.

Abdillah also explained that the team that initially carried out patrols around the city of Klaten was immediately directed to Prambanan after receiving reports from the public.

As a result, the team found a group of youths who were carrying out illegal racing and also a group of motorbikes watching the illegal racing action. There were a total of 175 motorbikes which were later secured and taken to the Klaten Police.

"All of them are given a ticket. For those whose vehicles are confiscated and are about to take their vehicles, apart from paying the ticket, the vehicle owners are also required to equip their vehicles with standard equipment." he explained.

The morning patrol, according to Abdillah, will continue to be carried out by the Klaten Police. This is to create a safe and comfortable situation for residents, especially in the month of Ramadan.

"Let's keep the purity and comfort in the month of Ramadan by doing positive things. Don't do anything that disturbs society. The Klaten Police will monitor the area 24 hours and are committed to taking firm action against any violations," he said.
