PKS Message Leaves For Students Who Will Demo At The Palace

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) supports the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) which will hold a demonstration against the postponement of the 2024 general election and the extension of the presidential term for 3 terms at the State Palace Area, Jakarta, Monday, April 11, tomorrow. The chairman of the PKS DPP, Mardani Ali Sera, assessed that the student demonstrations represented the aspirations of the people whose economic conditions were being squeezed amid the wild discourse of extending the presidential term.

"Appreciate the student action plan tomorrow," said Mardani in Jakarta, Sunday, April 10. This is because the prices of many basic commodities have soared but the ministers have been busy dealing with the postponement of the election. A lot of rising prices of goods create real economic pressure,” he continued. The member of Commission II of the House of Representatives assessed that the demands made by students at tomorrow's action have a solid basis. So according to him, it is never too late to convey these aspirations even though President Jokowi has prohibited the minister from speaking again about postponing the election.

However, Mardani left a message for students to demonstrate safely and not anarchically.

"Leave a message to maintain order and make an elegant demonstration," said Mardani.
