BEM SI Says Many Groups Want To Join The April 11 Action, Still Want To See Goals And Demands

JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM SI) mentions that there are many groups that establish communication. Their goal is to join the demonstration at the Merdeka Palace on April 11.

"Yes, there are several (groups, ed)," said BEM SI Media Coordinator Luthfi Yufrizal to VOI, Saturday, April 9.

However, until now BEM SI has not responded or answered the invitation. The reason is still studying and ascertaining the true purpose of these groups.

"We haven't (decided yet, ed). We from BEM SI look at the goals and demands first," said Luthfi.

Another reason for not giving an answer is because they are worried that there will be horsemen at the peaceful demonstration later.

However, BEM SI already has a way of anticipating the ride. One of them by forming a special team.

The team will later monitor the entire mass of action. Where, it is predicted that there will be 1,000 students who will take to the streets.

"For the period of action from us, there will be a special team to see the movements of the masses of action," he said.

If later found parties who intend to cause chaos, this special team will immediately secure it. Thus, the demonstration will be peaceful.

"We will secure it so things don't happen that we don't want," said Luthfi.

For information, BEM SI will hold a demonstration at the Merdeka Palace on Monday, April 11. The action demanded injustice and asked President Jokowi to step down.
