Planter Of 13 Cannabis Cannabis In Pots In Sleman Arrested

YOGYAKARTA - The Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta arrested a resident of Sleman Regency with the initials F (36), who was suspected of planting 13 marijuana plants using pot media.

Head of BNNP DIY Brigadier General Andi Fairan said F was arrested at his residence, in Caturtunggal Village, Depok District, Sleman Regency on April 6.

"Around August 2021, F planted cannabis seeds left over from use, which so far have successfully planted 13 plants suspected of being marijuana-type narcotics in his bedroom," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 7.

According to Andi, F, who is a recidivist in the marijuana crime case, admitted that he previously bought and received three packages containing six slices of marijuana from a dealer with the initials DHM, a resident of Lampung.

BNNP DIY officers also confiscated two packs containing dried leaf slices suspected of being marijuana type F with a gross weight of 55 grams, as well as a clear plastic bottle containing dried seeds suspected of having marijuana weighing 60 grams.

"F also keeps illegal books that inspire him to commit acts of drug abuse," he said.

F's arrest is the result of the development of a previous case of marijuana abuse by two of his friends, namely R (41) a resident of Sleman, and D (42) a resident of Surakarta.

R was arrested in an apartment on Jalan Palagan Army Students, Sariharjo Village, Ngaglik, Sleman on April 5, 2022 because he was found to have committed an evil conspiracy by possessing, storing, and controlling evidence of narcotics of 300 grams of marijuana.

Meanwhile, D was arrested on April 6, 2022 at around 03.00 WIB in Kalitirto Village, Berbah, Sleman on suspicion of receiving, handing over, possessing, storing and controlling evidence in the form of a roll of cigarettes allegedly weighing 0.7 grams.

Based on the results of the interrogation, it was found that D admitted that he had received three packages containing six slices of marijuana according to R's order and had handed over the package to R.

From these efforts, D was paid a piece of 50 grams of marijuana slices.

"Officers when securing D found that the perpetrator kept a roll of marijuana which was the remainder of the wages received from R which he had consumed himself," said Andi.

For his actions, F was charged with Article 111 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a minimum imprisonment of five years, a maximum of 20 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 8 billion.

Meanwhile, R and D were charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum imprisonment of five years, a maximum imprisonment of 20 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 10 billion.
