Airplanes From Overseas Begin To Enter, Bali Ngurah Rai Airport Passengers Reach 605 Thousand People Per March

BADUNG - I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, recorded 605,133 passengers and 4,774 aircraft movements during March 2022.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Herry AY Sikado said, this achievement is a record of domestic and international flights that have been operating again with a percentage compared to the period of February 2022.

For passengers, the number rose 56 percent and was followed by an increase in aircraft movements by 30 percent.

"In the March period, the most daily flights served on domestic flights were 26,335 passengers on March 25, 2022, and for international flights 1,979 passengers on March 28, 2022, and there was a temporary flight termination on March 3, 2022 in support of the Nyepi Saka tradition of 1944," said Herry, Monday, April 4th.

Meanwhile, the three most departing routes will be served during March 2022, Jakarta with 164,790 passengers, Surabaya with 40,544 passengers and Makassar with 22,267 passengers.

While the three routes of origin are mostly Jakarta 155,616 passengers, Surabaya 40,332 passengers and Makassar 22,079 passengers.

"I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, for the March 2022 period, there was a positive increase compared to the February 2021 period, with 56 percent of passengers and 30 percent of aircraft respectively. Even though that month there was a temporary suspension of flights, the 1943 Nyepi Saka tradition still showed a positive trend. ," he continued.

According to him, the positive trend was also influenced by the easing of flight requirements. Air transport travelers are no longer required to use a COVID-19 test for those who have had a complete vaccine.

This increase also occurred due to a number of international activities, including the MotoGP event which was held in Lombok, where there were 13,127 passengers departing and 12,544 arriving from Lombok.

Meanwhile, in April, the operating hours of Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, in accordance with Notice To Airmen (Notam) A0840/22 NOTAMR AO712/22, regarding airport operating hours, changed from 07.00 WITA to 02.00 WITA, which previously was at 07.00 WITA. up to 20.00 WITA.

According to him, the change in operating hours will increase the number of flight slots at Bali's I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport.

"For the prediction that in April 2022 there will be a moment of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriyah, like the previous year there will be a peak in homecoming and return flows for Eid.
