First Ganjar Ngabuburit By Handing Over Rp40 Million RTLH Assistance

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo carried out activities waiting for the time to break the fast or ngabuburit on the first day of Ramadan by handing over assistance for repairing uninhabitable houses (RTLH) to two residents of Semarang City, Sunday.

The two residents of Semarang City who received assistance to repair the RTLH and basic necessities were Slamet Muryono, a resident of Mangkang, and Sukanah, a resident of Tanjung Mas.

Both of them received assistance of Rp. 20 million each from the Central Java Baznas. The total assistance reached Rp. 40 million.

Ganjar admitted that every year he plans to "ngabuburit" by helping the community, last year's Ramadan he cycled every afternoon to the orphanage, helping the poor with the help of RTLH, and other assistance.

"Actually, every year I have this activity, the difference is that yesterday I used to ride a bicycle, but now I can't. We usually go around, open a list of people who have proposed assistance and have not realized it, now we are implementing it," said the PDI-P politician, quoted from Antara.

The number one person in the Central Java Provincial Government revealed that during the month of Ramadan he would optimize the program for providing RTLH assistance, basic necessities for orphanages, social homes, and other assistance.

"Not only assistance from the government budget, but we are looking for other sources. Today from our friends from Baznas, we distribute it to the residents. Later as we go along, we will also collect from many people who want to help," said the former member of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

Slamet Muryono is grateful to have received assistance from the Central Java Provincial Government to repair his residence.

"Alhamdulillah, I'm very grateful to get help from Pak Ganjar. I didn't think I would get house renovation assistance on the first day of fasting, hopefully it will be useful," he said.
