Remind Prokes In Worship Activities During Ramadan, Regent Of Kubu Raya: For The Common Good

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government has relaxed restrictions on community activities in the month of Ramadan 2022. However, all people are still asked to maintain health protocols when worshiping, considering the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet.

This is also the concern of the Regent of Kubu Raya, Muda Mahendrawan. He asked the public to apply prokes in worship activities during the month of Ramadan to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.

This appeal was also conveyed by the Regent of Kubu Raya to the mosque administrators.

"We urge the public not to forget to implement health procedures when carrying out worship at mosques during this month of Ramadan," said Muda, as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 2.

"Indeed, the government has relaxed restrictions on community activities for the month of Ramadan this year. But for the benefit of us all, of course we cannot rule out the implementation of strict procedures," he added.

Therefore, he said, mosque administrators must remind residents to apply health protocols when carrying out activities at mosques.

Previously, the Head of the Kubu Raya District Health Office, Marijan, said that the district government was intensifying a campaign to implement health protocols and distribute masks in mosques during Ramadan.

"Indeed, there is no prohibition for the public to perform the tarawih prayer as during the first time of COVID-19. However, we still ask the public to continue to comply with the prokes when carrying out worship," said Marijan.

In addition to intensifying campaigns for implementing health protocols, he said, local governments are intensifying the implementation of COVID-19 vaccinations.

Marijan said that until March 31, 2022, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Kubu Raya reached 6,243 cases with 5,891 patients who had recovered and 136 patients who died.

According to him, currently there are 154 residents of Kubu Raya and 62 people from outside the area who are undergoing quarantine and or treatment due to being infected with COVID-19 in Kubu Raya.
