12 Thousand Bottles Of Liquor Destroyed Banten Police Confiscated From Cafes To Herbal Medicine Shops

SERANG - Banten Police destroyed 12,000 bottles of liquor and evidence of drugs, Friday, April 1. This evidence is the result of prosecution in the series of Operation Pekat Maung 2022 which has been carried out for two weeks before the start of the holy month of Ramadan

As previously reported, Banten Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Drs Ery Nursatari with KH Abuya Muhtadi Dimyati. Then there is also the Chairperson of the Banten Province Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) KH TB Hamdi Ma'ani and the Main Official of the Banten Police.

"Banten Police held an event to exterminate liquor and drugs resulting from prosecution in the series of Operation Pekat Maung 2022 which has been carried out for two weeks before the start of the holy month of Ramadan." said Banten Deputy Police Chief Brigadier General Ery Nursatari, as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 2.

The destroyed 12,000 bottles of various brands of liquor, 357 packs of Ciu, one jerry can of Ciu, and the destruction of evidence of 32,0003 kg of methamphetamine, 1,592 ecstasy pills, and 1,042 kilograms of ketamine.

Ery said the liquor was obtained from various places in the implementation of the 2022 Maung Concentration Operation.

"This liquor is obtained from various entertainment venues to places of sale. We comb from cafes, distributors, to small stalls and herbal medicine shops," said Ery Nursatari.

He hopes that the eradication of liquor and drugs can save the younger generation from drug and alcohol abuse.

"Drugs are our common enemy and can damage the younger generation. With the elimination of liquor and drugs, it can save the young generation of Banten," said Ery Nursatari.

The Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Shinto Silitonga, explained that the results of the details of the liquor seized by the Banten Police and the line police included 3,604 bottles of liquor, the Tangerang Police managed to secure 3,280 bottles of liquor, 352 packs of Ciu, and 1 jerry can of Ciu, the Serang City Police managed to secure 244 bottles of liquor, and 5 packs of Ciu, Serang Police managed to secure 779 bottles of liquor.

Furthermore, the Cilegon Police managed to secure 2,520 bottles of liquor, which were destroyed on Thursday, March 31. On the same day, the Pandeglang Police Station destroyed 8,000 bottles of liquor and the Lebak Police managed to secure 779 bottles of liquor.

Shinto Silitonga added that the Banten Police also destroyed evidence of narcotics resulting from prosecution from January to March 2022.

"The results of the prosecution from January to March 2022 succeeded in revealing 175 cases by arresting 233 suspects and securing evidence in the form of 4.01 ounces of marijuana, 33.016 kg of crystal methamphetamine, 1.11 ounces of Gorilla tobacco, 1.04 kg of ketamine, 1,772 pills of ecstasy and hard drugs 26,837 pills." Shinto said.
