Appi-Rahman Team: Erwin Aksa Holds The Command For Winning, Not Seeking The Stage

JAKARTA - The Munafri Arifuddin-Rahman Bando (Appi-Rahman) team responded to the assumption about Erwin Aksa's dismissal as the head of the Appi-Rahman winning team as a preparation for the South Sulawesi Pilgub. The Appi-Rahman team emphasized that Erwin Aksa was not looking for popularity by being involved in winning the Makassar Pilkada.

"Pak Erwin Aksa is a national figure with a very broad network. He will continue to assist Governor Nurdin Abdullah and South Sulawesi from the center," said Appi-Rahman spokesman Fadli Noor in a written statement, Tuesday, September 29.

According to Fadli, the presence of Erwin Aksa as the Head of the Appi-Rahman winning team is a calling because he sees the current condition of Makassar which is worsening due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, Erwin wants to ensure the victory of Appi-Rahman, who he considers to have a very clear and measurable concept in handling the pandemic better and then carrying out economic recovery.

"Pak Erwin is in command of the victory not to look for a stage and popularity. Political activists and activists of civil society organizations are all familiar with him. Pak Erwin will continue to be in the national circle to help Pak Nurdin Abdullah and South Sulawesi," said Fadli.

The candidate pair number 2, Appi-Rahman, who is promoted by the Democrats, PPP, Perindo and PSI, has the goal of making Makassar Bangkit the foremost city in Eastern Indonesia. The revival of Makassar will be marked by economic growth and a high human development index, low unemployment, a decrease in poverty and an increase in people's welfare in a just and equitable manner.

Previously, the statement about Erwin Aksa going down the mountain to raise prestige for the South Sulawesi Pilgub according to the Appi-Rahman team was made by the Director of the Indonesian Journal Circle, Basri Kajang. The presence of Erwin Aksa in the Appi-Rahman winning team is considered to be a sign that Erwin Aksa is glancing at the South Sulawesi political scene.
