APDESI Dualism Amid Pros And Cons Of Jokowi's 3 Period Support, DPR: The Ministry Of Home Affairs Should Make A Clear Distinction

JAKARTA - Member of Commission II of the DPR from the PKS faction, Mardani Ali Sera, highlighted the dualism of the village head organization under the name of the All-Indonesian Village Government Association (APDESI).

It is known that after APDESI led by Surta Wijaya declared support for President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) for three terms at Istora Senayan, Tuesday, March 29. Arifin Abdul Majid's version of APDESI stated that his association had been created for practical political purposes.

According to Mardani, this organization must be clear and firm. Because he said, it is not healthy if there is a dualism in APDESI.

"It must be clear and firm, it is not healthy to have dualism," said Mardani when contacted, Thursday, March 31.

Previously, the Director General of Politics and General Administration (Polpum) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) Bahtiar explained that the two organizations were different and their notary deeds.

Therefore, Mardani reminded the Ministry of Home Affairs to clearly distinguish the name of the organization, because the names are too identical.

"It should be clearly distinguished," he said.

The chairman of the PKS DPP believes that the Ministry of Home Affairs needs to provide guidance if the dualism of the organization does occur.

"The Ministry of Home Affairs needs to conduct training," he concluded.

For information, APDESI led by Surta Wijaya was named the Central Executive Board of the Association of Indonesian Village Governments and APDESI led by Arifin Abdul Majid was named the All-Indonesian Village Government Association Association.

The official APDESI registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights consists of village heads and village officials, both active and retired throughout Indonesia and in accordance with Law (UU) No. 17 of 2013 concerning Community Organizations.

APDESI has been approved as a Community Organization as a legal entity since 2016 in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number AHU.0072972-AH.01.07 of 2016 and the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number AHU-0001295-AH.01.08 of 2021 concerning Changes in the Association of Apdesi with General Chair Arifin Abdul Majid and Secretary General Muksalmina.
