Deadly Duel, Man In Nias Stabbed To Death

MEDAN - The deadly duel took place on the Dusun III Public Street, Hiliwarokha Village, Bawolato District, Nias Regency. A man named Yakin Mesozanolo Telaumbanua (33) was stabbed to death by the perpetrator with the initials STB (26).

Bawolato police chief, AKP B Lase said the incident occurred in front of the perpetrator's house. The victim died after suffering stab wounds to the stomach and body.

"We have arrested the suspected STB perpetrator and are currently undergoing investigation at the Nias Police Station," said AKP Lase, Thursday, March 31.

The incident began when the victim met the STB perpetrator at his home. At that time, the perpetrator was having a conversation with the village head of Hili'alawa.

"The victim immediately said to the perpetrator, 'since yesterday you were always rude when talking to my parents'. Then the victim immediately approached the perpetrator and punched the perpetrator in the face," he explained.

AKP Lase said that the perpetrator, who did not accept being beaten, then pushed the victim. At that time, the victim also tried to stab the perpetrator with a knife.

"But the perpetrator was able to dodge and the knife hit the finger of his left hand. Then the victim again pointed the knife at the perpetrator and the perpetrator held the victim's elbow," he explained.

"After holding the victim's elbow, the perpetrator immediately pointed a knife at the victim several times so that the victim suffered stab wounds," he continued.

Furthermore, the victim who received several stabs immediately went to ride his motorcycle.

"But on the way the victim fell because he could no longer ride a motorbike. The local community took the victim to the UPTD Bawolato Health Center, then referred to Thomsen Gunungsitoli General Hospital and not long after arriving, the victim was declared dead, we are still investigating and developing the motive for the stabbing incident this," he said.
