APDESI Doesn't Accept Organizations For Profiting, Asks Police To Reveal Intellectual Actors Who Supported 'Jokowi's 3 Periods'

JAKARTA - The All-Indonesian Village Government Association Organization (APDESI) opened its voice regarding the Silatnas activities of village heads at Istora Jakarta, Tuesday, March 29, which carried the name APDESI.

Because it made noise, APDESI strongly condemns the profiteering of the organization's name by this group of people. As well as leading opinions as if all village heads who joined APDESI asked for an extension of the president's term of office.

"We question the government why the name of the APDESI community organization that has been registered with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights can still be used by unauthorized people. And we really regret that we have justified all APDESI members into practical politics, especially the polemic of the president for 3 periods," the statement read. circular approved by the General Chairperson of APDESI Arifin Abdul Majid, Wednesday, March 30.

APDESI asked the Police to reveal the intellectual actors who had raised the issue as if all members had come to support the extension of the president's term of office.

"And he has defamed the president's name as if he was present at the event, because he will get support to become president for three terms," he said.

To note, APDESI consists of village heads and village officials, both active and retired throughout Indonesia. In accordance with Law Number 17 of 2013 concerning Community Organizations, APDESI has been approved as a legal entity community organization since 2016.

This is also in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number AHU.0072972- AH.01.07 YEAR 2016 and the Decree of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Number AHU-0001295-AH.01.08 2021 concerning Changes in Association of Indonesian Village Governments with Chairperson General Arifin Abdul Majid and Secretary General Muksalmina (attached).

Previously, the Association of Indonesian Village Governments (APDESI) planned to declare 'Jokowi's 3 Periods' after this Eid. Originally, the declaration would be held at the Apdesi National Gathering (Silatnas) on Tuesday, March 29.

The plan's declaration was delivered directly in front of Jokowi, but was canceled because it was prohibited by a number of parties, such as the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. Apdesi has even prepared a banner to declare Jokowi for 3 terms.

Chairman of APDESI Surtawijaya said that Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan did not prohibit such a declaration. Surta himself was even asked firmly that when giving his speech he shouted support for 3 periods of Jokowi.

"He (Luhut) forbade it, even meeting him is prohibited, you don't tell stories like that. Earlier I was about to scream for 3 periods, all of them were forbidden," told reporters.

Not only Jokowi's 3rd term banner which was cancelled, but also the Mr. Village Development Charter which will be given to the former Mayor of Solo.

Surtawijaya said that the charter he wanted to hand over suddenly disappeared somewhere.

"Someone took it," he said.

However, the declaration has not been cancelled. APDESI is ready to declare Jokowi's proposal for 3 periods in the near future, and this proposal is claimed to have been agreed upon by the majority of association members.
