Gibran-Bobby Lunch At Ganjar's Office, Bambang Pacul PDIP Denies There's Election Discussion: They're Not Party Managers

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI Perjuangan's Election Winning Body (Bappilu) Bambang Wuryanto or Bambang Pacul opened his voice regarding the meeting of President Joko Widodo's son and daughter-in-law (Jokowi), Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Bobby Nasution with the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo.

Bambang said he did not know anything and would not make further assumptions about the meeting of the three regional heads. He only said that the meeting between the three was normal as a regional head.

"Ask the person concerned, please. We don't know, do we, fellow regional heads," Bambang told reporters at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 29.

Even so, he believes that there will be no discussion about the 2024 General Election. Moreover, Bambang said that Gibran, Bobby, and Ganjar are not PDI-P officials.

"Yes, no (not talking about the 2024 election, ed). It's too far (when talking about the election, ed)," he said.

"If the election is contested by political parties. If it's a political party, ask for permission. The three of them are not administrators of a political party," added Bambang. As previously reported, Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka and Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution suddenly visited the Central Java Governor's office, Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, Central Java on Monday, March 28.

At that time, both were met by Ganjar and invited to his private room. When asked by reporters, Gibran and Bobby said they only stopped by for lunch together.

Both of them were in Semarang City and participated in the Indonesian City Government Association (Apeksi) event. "This morning I met Mr. Ganjar at the Apexion. This was time for a short gathering. After all, I also have an event with Mr. Governor at the BPK. This is with Bobby because both of them are from the Apex event," said Gibran.

Asked what important or political matters were discussed at the meeting, Gibran just smiled. He said there was nothing important, just having lunch together.
