JAKARTA - The Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) has officially sacked former Health Minister Terawan Agus Putranto from IDI membership. The reason is because Terawan violated medical ethics while carrying out his duties as a doctor. Terawan made at least five mistakes. Terawan's dismissal was decided based on the results of the 31st IDI congress held on March 22-25 in Banda Aceh. The dismissal will be carried out no later than 28 working days. Quoting from the video of the congress uploaded by UI Epidemiologist Pandu Riono, one of the committee members said that the dismissal decision took effect from the date of stipulation. "Terawan has been permanently dismissed from IDI membership. Bana Aceh," wrote Pandu, quoted on Sunday, March 27. Pandu said the case of serious ethical violations from doctor Terawan Agus Putranto had been processed since 2013.
