Kemendikbudristek Revokes Level 2 PPKM Regional Discretion May PTM Be Limited To 50 Percent

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) revoked the discretion of regional heads who were at PPKM Level 2 to be able to carry out face-to-face learning (PTM) 50 percent.

This discretion is contained in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 2 of 2022 concerning Discretion in the Implementation of Joint Decrees of 4 Ministers concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic. From now on, this SE is declared invalid.

Thus, PTM in schools again follows the provisions in the Joint Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Minister of Religion, Minister of Health, and Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 06/KB/2021, Number 1347 of 2021, Number HK .01.08/MENKES/6678/2021, Number 443-5847 of 2021 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Learning in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

"It is still very important for the education office and schools to continue to ensure that learning for all students can take place safely, comfortably, and pleasantly. Thus, the implementation of Limited PTM is again following the guidelines in the last Four Ministerial Decree," said Secretary General of the Ministry of Education and Culture Suharti in his statement. , Friday, March 25.

In the Ministerial Decree 4 referred to by Suharti, it is stated that schools in the Level 1 and Level 2 PPKM areas hold PTM with 100 percent capacity. With a note, the achievement of vaccination of educators and education personnel is above 80 percent and the achievement of dose 2 vaccination in the elderly is above 50 percent. If the vaccination achievement is below that, then the school applies the 50 percent PTM.

Meanwhile, schools in PPKM Level 3 areas hold PTM with a capacity of 50 percent. With a note, the achievement of vaccination of educators and education personnel is at least 40 percent and the achievement of dose 2 vaccination in the elderly is at least 10 percent.

If the vaccination achievement has not been met, then the area with PPKM Level 3 applies distance learning (PJJ). Likewise, PPKM Level 4 areas are required to implement 100 percent PJJ.

Furthermore, Suharti emphasized that parents/guardians of students are still given the option to allow their children to take part in Limited PTM or PJJ in all regions.

"The Ministry of Education and Culture hopes that all parties can work together in efforts to restore learning so that the learning rights of our students can be fulfilled, so that it is our shared responsibility so that Limited PTM can be carried out safely and comfortably for our children," added Suharti.
