BANDUNG - Police have uncovered the distribution of 1.196 tons of methamphetamine in Pangandaran, West Java. Of the five suspects who were arrested, they had different roles.

The head of the Indonesian National Police, General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, said the five suspects had the initials SA (33), HM (41), HH (39), AH (38), and M (20). Of the five people, one of them is an Afghan citizen with the initials M.

They were charged with Article 112 in conjunction with Article 113 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 115 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. With this article, Listyo said the suspects were threatened with a maximum sentence of death or life imprisonment.
