4 Meter Long Python Evacuated By Officers At Islamic Boarding School In Cilangkap Area

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Sudin Gulkarmat) managed to evacuate a large snake that shocked the occupants of a boarding school in the Cilangkap Baru area, Munjul Village, Cipayung District, East Jakarta.

"We received a report from a resident on Wednesday, March 23, at night, around 23.35 WIB. We have mobilized 4 rescue personnel to carry out the evacuation," said Head of East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept. Gatot Sulaeman to reporters, Thursday 24 March.

Officers arrived at the location where the snake appeared at around 23:47 WIB. By using a special tongs tool to evacuate the snake, the officers began to swiftly control the area where the snake appeared.

"The snake's position was in the ditch of the Islamic boarding school. The snake was successfully evacuated around 24.00 WIB," he said.

According to Gatot, when the officers carried out the evacuation process, they did not encounter any problems. So that snakes can easily be tamed and caught.

"This is a python with a length of approximately 4 meters. There were no fatalities or injuries related to this snake. The snake has been secured by officers using a special snake evacuation container," he said.
