Surakarta City Government Prepares Location For Spill Market During Ramadan

SURAKARTA - The Surakarta City Government will prepare a location for the spill market which usually occurs during Ramadan so that the activity can take place safely and comfortably.

Head of the Surakarta City Trade Service Heru Sunardi said the government was ready to provide concessions to the community and micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to carry out economic activities with this spilled market.

"We are currently finalizing which locations are permitted, we will coordinate with related agencies for the placement of the spilled market," he said in Solo, Antara, Wednesday, March 23.

He ensured that buying and selling activities at the Tiban market or spilled market would not interfere with traffic, because his party would coordinate with the Transportation Agency to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles.

In addition, his party will cooperate with the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs regarding the provision of types of merchandise and business actors who will later become participants.

"Meanwhile, for supervision and implementation of regulations related to order and implementation of health procedures, we will cooperate with the Surakarta City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP). What is certain is that the rules do not pollute the city, so when you come clean, you have to go home clean with a disassembly model," he said.

Meanwhile, Surakarta City Satpol PP Head Arif Darmawan said he would carry out strict supervision of the orderliness of traders at spilled market points.

"Supervision is also carried out around the implementation of health protocols, we monitor compliance with the use of masks to anticipate crowds," he said.
