JAKARTA - PT Food Station President Director, Tjipinang Jaya Pamrihadi Wiyaryo, said the DKI Provincial Government would hold a cheap market selling bulk cooking oil for the public.
Pamrihadi said that this low-cost market will be held at the Cipinang Rice Main Market, East Jakarta, starting next week. DKI will stock up thousands of liters of bulk cooking oil.
“The first phase of 8,000 liters maybe we will do once a week per week. We haven't set the date yet", said Pamrihadi when meeting at the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Building, Wednesday, March 23.
The bulk cooking oil supplied by DKI in cooperation with this producer is sold at a price below the highest retail price (HET) which is set at IDR 14 thousand.
"The HET is IDR 14,000. So, we can sell below that, maybe IDR 13,500", said Pamrihadi.

Pamrihadi said that his party does not limit the amount of bulk cooking oil purchases by the public, as long as the segmentation is for households.
"While there is no limit. Even if there is a large purchase, at least 1 jerry can contain 19 liters. If we calculate it with (stock) of 8,000 liters, that is sufficient. If each purchase is 19 liters from 8,000 liters, it means there are 400 customers", he said.
If the public's interest in buying the bulk cooking oil supplied is high enough, DKI will increase the stock of the cheap market up to IDR 16 thousand liters every week.
