TANGERANG - Chinese citizen, Cai Changpan, who escaped from Tangerang prison, is still a fugitive. But the incident of the prisoners in the drug case leaves many irregularities. How easily can a prisoner - not an Indonesian citizen - escape from prison.

A number of oddities were revealed by DPR members when they visited the Tangerang Prison. The delegation was led by Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian Parliament, Adies Kadir.

Adies questioned the absence of working tools used to dig around the site. Not found also excavated soil. Yet if you look at the length and size of the hole - the place where Cai Changpan escaped - Adies estimates that a large vehicle is needed to dispose of the land.

"There is a possibility that it will also be excavated from outside, but if we count it from outside, it may take two dump trucks," said Adies, Wednesday, September 23.

Adies even suspected whether this culvert had been around for a long time. Because if it's just excavated, it's almost impossible.

Adies assessed that it is highly unlikely that one person with a tool length less than 20 cm can dig thousands of cubic meters of soil. And it is not even known where the excavated soil was placed.

"Why can't people around you hear, because this is because the distance from the cell room to the outside of the prison is quite far, almost 30 meters," he said.

"The question is, is there really a culvert inside, this must be seen and really entered into," continued this Golkar Party politician.

Commission III DPR RI will conduct further investigations at Polda Metro Jaya to thoroughly investigate the matter. Then it was followed by a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) and the Directorate General of Corrections (Dirjenpas) to make decisions regarding this case.

"We want to know exactly what the modus operandi is, of course we don't want the same thing to happen again. Because this kind of incident has not happened once, but has happened before and until now it is not known what the motive and mode are. Therefore, we do not want it to happen. in the future, things like this will happen again, "said Adies.

The pretext of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights

Head of the Banten Kemenkumham Regional Office R. Andika Dwi Prasetya explained, since this case was exposed, he immediately ordered the Head of the Corrections Division (Kadivpas) and the Head of the Correctional Institution (Kalapas) to conduct an investigation and examination. From the results of the examination, it was found that there were personnel in charge, namely personnel in charge of checking the count and personnel at the post who fell asleep in the minutes while on guard.

"We and the team also coordinated with the National Police Headquarters and the Directorate General of Immigration to carry out bans and DPO (People Search List). With the Banten Police Chief we also asked for assistance for investigations and the Banten Regional Police (Kapolda) ordered the Tangerang City Police (Kapolresta) to helping Tangerang Class I Prison related to a deeper investigation, "he explained.
