JAKARTA - The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) through the Directorate General of Sea Transportation has extended the operating period of free floating accommodation on the KM Kelud Ship until March 21, 2022.

"For MotoGP viewers watching on March 20, having difficulty finding a place to stay because they haven't got a return ticket or want to continue traveling in NTB, they can take advantage of this floating accommodation," said Acting Director General of Sea Transportation Capt Mugen Sartoto, quoted from Between, Sunday.

Mugen said the floating accommodation with the KM Kelud ship was a form of accommodation support during the MotoGP event which took place at the super priority tourist attraction, Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara.

According to him, floating accommodation can be a solution because apart from being free, it is also equipped with adequate facilities and will certainly get a different experience when compared to staying in a hotel room.

For this reason, he invites MotoGP viewers to take advantage of the facilities from the assignment given by the Directorate General of Sea Transportation to PT PELNI (Persero).

"We want to help people who really need accommodation and want to rest before returning to their place of origin, especially for the spectators who haven't got a return ticket so they don't get stranded, considering that the occupancy of lodging in Mandalika is also high," he said.
