PADANG - The Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) found as many as 492 points of violation of spatial use that occurred in Lake Maninjau and Lake Singkarak, West Sumatra.
"The violation of spatial use is in the form of reclamation by building buildings by companies and the community," said Director of Spatial Control at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Ariodilah Virgantara, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 19.
He said that the 492 points of violation occurred in Lake Maninjau, Agam Regency, two points in the form of the construction of a dock built by the government and a mosque.
This is based on direct observations carried out while circling the lake with the team on Friday (18/3).
"We only found mosques and piers. For places of worship, this is an exception and no action is taken," he said.
Meanwhile, in Lake Singkarak, there were 490 violations spread across Tanah Datar Regency with 368 points and Solok Regency with 122 points.
The violations, he added, were along national roads in the two districts and this was based on monitoring carried out using satellites.
"This condition is not happening now, but for a long time. Monitoring using satellites has been carried out since 2016, 2017 and 2018 and the changes are increasingly visible from empty to building, reclamation and this is the basis for our activities," he said.
In the future, he added, this data will be studied and later will be discussed with related parties. After that, it was coordinated with the KPK, Ministry of PUPR, West Sumatra Provincial Government, Tanah Datar Regency Government, Solok Regency Government and others to think about the steps to be taken.
In Lake Singkarak, it will be followed up with the Regency Government with priority handling and choosing the one with the greatest effect, so that the echo echoes with the intention of providing a deterrent effect.
"This is with the hope that the quality and function of the lake can be maintained properly," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Integrated Section for Water Resources Infrastructure Development at the Sumatra V River Basin, Iwan Hernawan, added that Maninjau and Singkarak lakes are national priority lakes, so all ministries have responsibilities in these lakes.
"We have a role in controlling sediment, borders and others in the lake," he said.
BWS Sumatra V is conducting a study on the revitalization of Lake Maninjau and in the near future will conduct a public consultation involving the local government and the community.
"We will collect all the inputs during the public consultation and the program carried out regarding the determination of commensurate, checkdams to overcome erosion around the watersheds of Lake Maninjau," he said.
The Head of the West Sumatra Environment Agency, Siti Aisyah, said that her party had made efforts and included monitoring the sanctions given. In the future, it will expand to other areas, because the cases of Lake Singkarak and Maninjau are very different.
Lake Singkarak in buildings with commensurate use and the case of Lake Maninjau are related to pollution due to the capacity and carrying capacity of floating net cages in the lake.
"Of course there will be a plan that we will make, both stated in the presidential decree and has been passed down to the provincial level," he said.
Wngki Purwanto, Wngki Purwanto, executive director of the West Sumatra Walhi, said that the KPK is very unique, because it tries to solve problems at the point of the problem.
"If we solve the lake problem, we go directly to the lake itself, meaning that we know in detail what the problem is, of course we will prevent what actions are being pursued in the future," he said.
The KPK's National Priority Lake Rescue Work Team, Wahyudi, said that the KPK's job was to unite perceptions between agencies with the aim of public welfare.
To achieve that, there must be a strategy in saving the lake by planning what the authority of each agency is.
"If the agencies collaborate, it will produce a clear decision and can solve all problems," he said.
