MATARAM - A man from Jakarta named Adam Gazali admitted that he was a victim of fraud in purchasing tickets for MotoGP spectators. This fraud case was discovered after one of his colleagues made an exchange at the former Selaparang Airport, Mataram City, Wednesday, March 16.

"After checking with the officer (exchanging MotoGP spectator tickets), the link containing the 'barcode' given to where I bought it was said to be unregistered," Adam told the media crew in Mataram, NTB, quoted from Antara, Thursday, March 17.

Adam who heard the news from his colleague again checked the email message that had been sent previously by the seller. "I re-checked the email message that was sent, it was in the form of a link, but when I opened it it couldn't work anymore, it said 'error 404'," he said.

Feeling that he had been cheated, Adam decided to take the matter to the police. Accompanied by a lawyer, Adam reported the problem to the NTB Police.

"Wednesday night my lawyer and I went to the NTB Police," he said.

From the NTB Regional Police through the officers of the Integrated Police Service Center (SPKT), Adam received advice to prioritize the resolution of this problem through mediation.

"That same night, I was asked to call the ticket seller and I was picked up. He finally agreed to attend the mediation at the NTB Police," said Adam.

During the meeting, the mediation resulted in an agreement that required the seller to return the ticket money that had been previously sent by Adam via bank transfer.

"The deadline is 24 hours, until Thursday night, if the agreement has not been fulfilled, it is certain that my lawyer and I will continue this issue by making an official report to the special criminal directorate," he said.

This MotoGP spectator ticket seller is called Adam named Ari. To him, Ari admitted to working at a travel agency in the Lombok region.

At that time, Adam made a transaction to purchase 32 MotoGP spectator tickets at a price of Rp. 70 million. The transaction is done via telephone communication.

After agreeing, Adam through his partner sent money via banking to Ari. After the banking transaction was successful, Adam received an email message containing a barcode link to redeem MotoGP spectator tickets.
