KPK Visits Anies Baswedan's Office, Asks Every Spouse In DKI ASN To Know The Origin Of All Income

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Prevention Commission Alexander Marwata and the Director of Community Participation Development of the KPK Kumbul Kusdwidjanto visited the DKI Jakarta City Hall to hold a socialization on preventing corruption among officials and ASN of the DKI Provincial Government.

At the office of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria, Alexander said that the KPK invited officials and staff from the DKI Provincial Government to instill the value of integrity from the smallest sphere, namely family.

"On this occasion, we are working with the Governor and Deputy Governor, and all levels of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to build family-based integrity values," said Alexander at the location, Thursday, March 17.

Alexander saw that the example of maintaining integrity is that the spouse of the DKI Provincial Government officials must know the income of their husband or wife. They should be suspicious if suddenly their husband or wife gets money that exceeds their income.

"So, when someone brings cash that is considered suspicious, there is also someone who reminds them of what money is this? Are salaries transferred? Now it must be explained. As long as it can be explained where the original source came from, okay, it doesn't matter," said Alexander.

Continuing, Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that the role of the family, especially the husband or wife, is very important in providing assistance and supervision to their partner who is in office.

Spouses of DKI Provincial Government officials need to remind their partners and become the first bastion of defense if there are certain temptations that lead to acts of corruption.
