JAKARTA - Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani added to the budget for funds in the 2020 State Budget of IDR 5.23 trillion for the holding of simultaneous Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) on December 9 this year. Whereas usually, Pilkada is fully funded from the APBD of each region.

This state treasurer said, prior to COVID-19, the 2020 Pilkada budget of IDR 15.23 trillion used the APBD. However, the total budget increased to IDR 20.64 because there was a budget for health protocols in the implementation of the democratic party.

"Because there is a health protocol, there is an additional Rp.15.01 trillion from the KPU budget and Rp.10.24 trillion from the APBD. A total of Rp.4.77 trillion is assisted by the APBN," he said at a press conference for our State Budget, Tuesday, September 22.

Sri said the IDR 15.23 trillion budget that came from the State Budget had already realized IDR 14.23 trillion. This figure is equivalent to 93.2 percent of the total budget. Meanwhile, the remaining IDR 1.025 trillion is still in the process of disbursement.

According to Sri Mulyani, Rp941.4 billion from the APBN has been disbursed for the General Election Commission (KPU) in stage I. Then in stage II there is Rp. 2.84 trillion in process, and the rest is still waiting for the disbursement process.

Meanwhile, the budget for the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) is IDR 3.93 trillion, which comes from IDR 3.46 trillion from APBD funds and IDR 474.9 billion from APBN. The budget from the APBN has been disbursed in two stages, namely Rp. 157.4 billion for phase I and Rp. 237.4 billion for stage III.

In addition, there is a budget for securing the 2020 Pilkada of IDR 1.52 trillion. Sri Mulyani added that this budget had been fully allocated by the APBD in accordance with this budget.

"Most of the Pilkada (budget) comes from the APBD and more than 246 regions have transferred 100 percent, there are still some that are not 100 percent. We will continue to track it later," he said.
