Jokowi: Alhamdulillah, 60 Thousand MotoGP Tickets At The Mandalika Circuit Are Sold

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said tens of thousands of tickets for the MotoGP event at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) were sold out.

He conveyed this after meeting with MotoGP riders at the Merdeka Palace today, Wednesday, March 16.

"Alhamdulillah, we also report that the ticket target we have announced is 60,000, thank God, all of them have been sold," said Jokowi in a press statement broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube, Wednesday, March 16.

Seeing this condition, Jokowi said, Indonesia is not inferior to other countries that have held similar activities. "And we have become a new brand, our country, that Indonesia now has a MotoGP circuit," he said.

Even so, Jokowi does not know whether the Rp 500 billion profit target from the MotoGP event in the country will be achieved. This is because this is only known after the event is completed.

"Later, when the event is over, we will calculate how many will come in. We will calculate everything after the event will be finished on Sunday, but what is clear is that in terms of city accommodation, there are still quite a lot in Mandalika," explained the former Governor of DKI Jakarta. the.

As previously reported, the MotoGP racers who will compete at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) have held a meeting with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta today, Wednesday, March 16.

The meeting between President Jokowi and racers such as Marc Marquez, Joan Mir, Alex Rins, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Maverick Vinales, Alex Marquez, and Takaaki Nakagami was held at around 09.30 WIB. In addition to international riders, there are also two Indonesian racers, namely Moto3 rider Mario Aji and Idemitsu Asian Talent Cup racer Veda Ega Pratama.

From the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube show, Jokowi welcomed the racers on the veranda of the Merdeka Palace. He was seen wearing a red jacket produced by Rabbit and Wheels with the words G20, black pants, and sneakers. Don't forget Jokowi also wears a brown mask.

Meanwhile, the racers appear to be wearing race suits that they will use when paving the Mandalika Circuit.

After talking and taking pictures together, President Jokowi together with the racers headed outside the Merdeka Palace. He released the MotoGP riders who would be parading towards the HI Roundabout.
