5.5 M Earthquake In Sukabumi, Vibrations Were Felt In Garut, Cianjur, Cilegon And Even South Tangerang

JAKARTA - An earthquake measuring 5.5 M centered in Sukabumi, West Java occurred on Wednesday, March 16 at 10.00 a.m. These are the cities that feel that vibe.

This information is shared by the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). They classify based on the strength of the earthquake. For levels II-III is considered vibration week. While level IV is in the Light category.

III Garut, III Cianjur, II-III South Lebak, II Jakarta, II Banjar, II West Bandung, II Bekasi, III Bayah, III Panimbang, III Pandeglang, II-III Cilegon, II South Tangerang, IV Pelabuhan Ratu, II-III Sukabumi.

As reported by the BMKG, the location of the earthquake was 113 km southeast of Sukabumi, West Java. The epicenter of the earthquake was 10 km deep and occurred exactly at 10.00 a.m.

The earthquake did not generate a tsunami wave. However, the BMKG warns of aftershocks.
