8 City Parks In Surabaya Open Again With Strict Procedures

SURABAYA - The Surabaya City Environment Service (DLH) has reopened eight parks in Surabaya, East Java, with strict implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol (prokes).

"We have opened these eight parks as of today," said the Head of the Environmental Protection Agency for the City of Surabaya, Agus Hebi Djuniantoro, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 15.

The eight city parks that have been reopened are Flora Park, Harmoni Park, Achievement Park, Rainbow Park, History Park, Light Park, Expression Park, and Wonorejo Nursery Garden.

He explained that the restoration of this activity refers to the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs (Inmendagri) Number 16 of 2022 concerning the Implementation of Restrictions on Community Activities (PPKM) Level 4, Level 3, Level 2, Level 1, in the Java-Bali region, as well as the results of the assessment from the COVID-19 Task Force. 19 City of Surabaya.

Based on the Minister of Home Affairs Number 16/2022, he continued, public facilities such as public areas, public parks, public tourist attractions and other public areas, were allowed to open with a maximum capacity of 75 percent.

"And must follow the health protocols regulated by the Ministry of Health or related institutions," he said.

The public is required to use the Peduli Protect application when entering the park. This is to screen all visitors who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or not.

"Meanwhile, children under 12 years old must be accompanied by their parents, and for children aged 6 to 12 years, they must show proof of vaccination at least the first dose," he said.

In the recovery of this activity, his party has coordinated with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the Health Office (Dinkes), and the Surabaya City Culture, Youth, and Sports, and Tourism (DKKOP) Office, said Hebi Djuniantoro.
