A Number Of Jakarta Areas Inundated By Floods This Morning

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that a number of areas were still inundated by floods after rains that flushed the capital city since last night.

Floods occur at a number of points with varying heights of 30-80 centimeters.

"This situation has occurred since Monday, September 21, night to Tuesday morning at 03.00 WIB," said Head of the Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) for Data and Information Mohamad Insaf in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, September 22.

For the West Jakarta area, 22 RTs were flooded, including:

1. Kelurahan Sukabumi Utara, 7 RT with a water level of 30-80 centimeters (cm) 2. Sukabumi Selatan Village, 3 RT with a water level of 120-130 cm. 3. Palmerah Village, 1 RT with a water level of 30 cm. 4. Rawa Buaya Village, 3 RT with a water level of 20-50 cm. 5. Duri Kepa Utara Village, 1 RT with a water level of 20 cm. 6. Kembangan Utara Village, 1 RT with a water level of 80 cm. 7. Tanjung Duren Utara Village, 1 RT with a water level of 20 cm. 8. Petamburan Village, 1 RT with a water level of 20 cm9. Pejaten Timur Village 4 RT with a water level of 30 cm.

Meanwhile, 30 public roads in West Jakarta were flooded with a height of 30-80 centimeters (cm). The following are 30 roads that have been flooded in West Jakarta based on data from BPBD DKI:

1. Taman Katalia Selatan RT 03 / RW 11, Kelurahan Kota Bambu Utara, Kecamatan Palmerah, with a water level of 15 cm. 2. Jalan Anggrek, RT 5 / RW 2, Kelapa Dua Village, Kebon Jeruk District, with a water level of 20-30 cm. 3. Jalan Taman FF, RW 05, Sukabumi Selatan Subdistrict, Kebon Jeruk District, with a water level of 30 cm. 4. Jalan Darma Wanita V, Rawa Buaya Village, Cengkareng District, with a water level of 20 cm. 5. Jalan Kembangan Raya RT004 / RW03, Kembangan Utara Village, Kembangan District, with a water level of 15 cm. 6. Jalan Teratai, Kembangan Utara Village, Kembangan District, with a water level of 50 centimeters. 7. In East Jakarta, some houses in the Kebon Pala area, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, were submerged. The flood occurred due to the overflow of the Ciliwung River, Tuesday due to the high river discharge due to the rain last night.

"Starting to enter (river water) around dawn earlier. The altitude is about 50-70 centimeters," said the Village Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling Officer (PPSU), M Iqbal at Kebon Pala.

The flood inundated residents 'houses at RT 11 / RW 05 Kebon Pala and entered residents' houses. Some residents have chosen to leave their homes to look for temporary evacuation locations while waiting for the water situation to recede.

PPSU officials advised residents to evacuate to the closest location at SDN Kampung Melayu and the mosque yard.

The floods that hit the area were influenced by an increase in the Water Level (TMA) of the Katulampa Dam, Bogor, West Java, which occurred at 18.10 to 18.34 WIB.

At that time, the Katulampa Dam TMA was on standby 1 with a water level of about 240 centimeters.
