During The Trial, Kopda Andreas And Corporal Sholeh Kompak Said Colonel Priyanto Refused To Take The Victim To The Puskesmas

JAKARTA - Second Corporal (Kopda) Andreas Dwi Atmoko, as a witness in the trial of the murder of two civilian teenagers in Nagreg, West Java, said that the accused middle-ranking TNI officer Colonel Infantry Priyanto rejected his suggestion to take the victim to the puskesmas.

Andreas Dwi Atmoko, who is Colonel Priyanto's subordinate, said he had advised his superiors to take the two victims to the Limbangan Health Center, Sukabumi, West Java, to get help, but the defendant refused and instead ordered Andreas to remain silent.

"I said, I ask for your permission, we will take you to the puskesmas, take him to the Emergency Room (IGD). The defendant said, shut up, follow me," said Andreas at the High Military Court II Jakarta, East Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, 15 March.

The same thing was conveyed by First Corporal (Koptu) Ahmad Sholeh who was also examined as a witness.

He said that he and Kopda Andreas had advised Colonel Priyanto to take two victims, namely Handi Saputra (17) and Salsabila (14), to the health center, even repeatedly.

However, said Koptu Ahmad Sholeh, Colonel Priyanto insisted on refusing. Then, when Kopda Andreas and Koptu Ahmad Sholeh questioned where the two victims would be taken, Colonel Suprayitno said they would be thrown into a river in Central Java.

In response to statements from Kopda Andreas and Koptu Ahmad Sholeh, Brigadier General Faridah Faisal emphasized that in criminal acts, everyone is responsible for their own actions.

"Everyone is responsible for themselves," he said.

Therefore, according to him, the two witnesses should not have followed the order of the defendant Colonel Priyanto, even though his figure was the superior of Kopda Andreas and Koptu Achmad Soleh.

To note, this case started when Colonel Priyanto and his two subordinates, namely Kopda Andreas and Koptu Ahmad Sholeh crashed into Handi and Salsa in Nagreg.

They did not take the victim to the hospital, but instead dumped the bodies of Handi and Salsa in the Serayu River, Central Java.

Salsa was thrown into the river dead, while Handi was still alive.

At the trial with the agenda of examining witnesses, apart from Kopda Andreas and Koptu Ahmad Sholeh, the Jakarta High Military Court II also presented seven other witnesses.

They are Second Lieutenant (Letda) Cpm Syahril from Pomdam III/Siliwangi and six civilians, namely Sohibul Iman, Saipudin Juhri alias Osen, Teten Subhan, Taufik Hidayat alias Opik, Etes Hidayatullah who is the father of victim Handi Saputra, and Jajang bin Ojo.

At the previous trial, Tuesday, March 8, the military prosecutor who was the public prosecutor at the military trial charged Priyanto with Article 340 of the Criminal Code, Article 338 of the Criminal Code, Article 328 of the Criminal Code, Article 333 of the Criminal Code, and Article 181 of the Criminal Code.
