Cianjur DPRD Members Find School Buildings Sealed By Company

CIANJUR - Cianjur DPRD member from the Gerindra faction Abdul Karim said his party would coordinate with the commission to summon the ranks of the Cianjur Youth and Sports Education Office, regarding the unreasonable sealing of the Cigombong State Elementary School (SDN), Mekarmukti Village in Cibinong District.

"As a result of the sealing, hundreds of students were unable to undergo a normal teaching and learning process," said Abdul Karim, quoted by Antara, Monday, March 14.

He said that his party received a report of an elementary school building in Mekarmukti Village, which was sealed by the company that manages the land.

"We were escorted by the local village head, to see the building that has been standing since 2019, but until now, it has not been able to be used because it was sealed by the company that controls the land permit on behalf of PT Menara," he said.

It is recorded that 140 students who have been studying at SDN Cigombong in Mekarmukti Village have been forced to undergo an online teaching and learning process, even though the Cianjur Regency Government has allowed 50 percent face-to-face learning.

His party received information from the school that they could not use the building because there was still a dispute with the company, so the four classrooms could not be used for face-to-face learning.

"We will call the relevant agencies, what problems have occurred, including what so far and assistance from the government has been used. Regarding land disputes, we will also summon other related agencies such as the assets section, the legal department and the inspectorate," he said.

The regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, said that he had just learned of a school that was sealed by the company in Cibinong District, so he immediately asked the Cianjur Disdikpora to follow up on the findings and immediately find a way out.

"I will order the relevant agencies to follow up on this, I just found out from reporters that there are schools that were sealed by the company. We will finish it as soon as possible because at this time, PTM can be held again," he said.
