MEDAN - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Nias Police, North Sumatra, arrested a man with the initials JG (37) who stabbed Syukri Jaya Gori (26).

Nias Police Chief AKBP Wawan Iriawan explained that the stabbing was triggered by a trivial matter because the perpetrator was offended by the victim's words. At first, the victim and his friend drank at a shop owned by Tobeyusu Dohare, alias Ama Sefi Dohare.

"Then JG came and sat together drinking and hanging out drinking coffee and other drinks," said AKBP Wawan, Monday, March 14.

Then, said AKBP Wawan, knocking on the table, the victim said something in the Nias language.

"If it is translated into Indonesian, when I was little I was bullied, but now I can't be bullied anymore," he said.

Hearing that, JG then asked the meaning and to whom the words were addressed to the victim.

"Then the victim immediately said, I told anyone," he said.

Feeling offended by the victim's words, JG stood up and took a knife from his waist which he had brought from home. The suspect stabbed the knife into the victim's left chest.

"After JG stabbed the left chest, JG again stabbed the right chest. Then then stabbed the knife again into the right arm area," he explained.

AKBP Wawan continued, the victim who had been stabbed ran away. Residents who saw it tried to break up the dispute.

"Residents took the victim to the nearest Puskesmas. Then the victim died after arriving at the Gido Health Center," he said.

Meanwhile, after stabbing the victim, JG then fled to his house. While at home, JG had time to talk to his wife.

"Then JG fled to the forest behind his house. It was about 3 kilometers from his house," he explained.

For his actions, the police have arrested JG. To account for his actions, JG is suspected of violating Article 338 or Article 351 paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code.
