Not Only Jokowi, Iriana Will Also Spend The Night At IKN Nusantara

JAKARTA - Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono said President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) would stay overnight in the National Capital Region (IKN) with the first lady, Iriana. The two of them spent the night in a tent that had been provided in the middle of the forest.

"Yes (will stay overnight, ed) with the first lady," said Heru when confirmed by reporters, Monday, March 14.

President Jokowi has also uploaded a photo of the tent he will be occupying on his official Instagram account, @jokowi. In the photo, the former governor of DKI Jakarta can be seen sitting on a chair in front of a white tent.

When confirmed, Heru confirmed that the tent will be occupied by Jokowi and Iriana tonight. He also said that currently Jokowi's entourage was already at the location for the overnight stay.

Meanwhile, when asked which governors were staying overnight, Heru said only the Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor. Meanwhile, the other governors who this morning participated in the procession of water and land unification in the IKN area, returned to their places of origin.

"The governor is only the Governor of East Kalimantan," he said.

Heru explained that the tents used were simple in shape. The contents are just a mattress without air conditioning or air conditioner.

As for the food, Heru said there was nothing special. There are various cakes and fruit provided and don't forget instant noodles.

"Yes, stay in a tent. The contents of the tent are only mattresses, there is no air conditioner (air conditioner or AC, ed)," he explained.

"For ordinary food, cakes and fruit. There is no (special food, ed), mostly Indomie," added Heru.

As previously reported, President Jokowi will stay at the IKN area tonight. A number of preparations have been made, including fogging or smoking as well as spreading work to prevent the entry of reptiles into the tent.

"We have spread salt around the tents, especially around VVIP, and so on to anticipate the presence of reptiles," said Commander of Paspampres Major General TNI Tri Budi Utomo, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube.

"And we have prepared anti-snake venom which will be useful. However, hopefully it will not be used and we are all safe," he concluded.
