The 6.2 Kg Sabu Smuggling Case Trial In Tangerang Regency Was Held Immediately

JAKARTA - The Tangerang District Attorney's Office (Kejari) has received the second phase of delegation from the Banten High Court (Kejati) in the case of smuggling 6.2 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine in the area.

The Head of the General Criminal Section (Kasi Pidum) of the Tangerang Regency Kejari, Mochtar Arifin, said that one of the suspects, Sara Yulis, would soon be tried at the Tangerang District Court in the near future. Sara, 28 years old, an Acehnese, in this case smuggled crystal methamphetamine by storing it in the hood of a car.

"We have received a delegation from the Banten High Prosecutor's Office to relate to the second phase of the drug case, and the case is the result of the disclosure of the Banten Province National Narcotics Agency (BNN) with the submission of suspects and evidence," he said in a written statement, quoted by Antara, Saturday 12 March.

He also revealed that in the case of disclosure of the narcotics case, the mode of which was hidden in the hood of the car, it had been declared complete at the delegation of P21.

"Furthermore, we will delegate the case to the prosecution process and immediately submit it to the court for trial," he said.

He said the trial process in the prosecution later, his party would involve a joint team of prosecutors from the Tangerang District Attorney's Office and Banten's High Court. "The prosecutors will be a combination of both the Tangerang District Attorney's Office and the Banten Attorney's Office," he said.

Previously, it was known that a dealer and courier for methamphetamine with the initials Sara Yulis from Aceh was arrested by Banten BNN officers in the Sepatan District, Tangerang Regency.

From the arrest, officers seized 6.2 kilograms of evidence of crystal methamphetamine which was hidden in the hood of a car to trick local security officers.

The head of the Banten BNN, Brigadier General Hendri Marpaung, said the disclosure began with information on the shipment of crystal methamphetamine from North Sumatra (North Sumatra) to Surabaya, East Java, via Banten. The methamphetamine was brought to Banten by land and stored in the front of the car's hood.

In the action, the perpetrators smuggled the methamphetamine using a vehicle transportation service from Medan via Belawan Port to Paimbang Port, Subang Regency, West Java (West Java).

As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 114 paragraph (2) and or Article 112 paragraph (2) JO Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law No. 35/2009 concerning Narcotics with the minimum threat of 20 years imprisonment or a maximum sentence of death.
