BENGKULU - The Bengkulu Provincial Government held a traditional procession of taking water and land at the Bengkulu City tourist attraction, namely Lake Dendam Tak Already and Bung Karno's exile house to welcome the National Capital (IKN) of the Archipelago.

Assistant I to the Bengkulu Provincial Government, Khairil Anwar at Dendam Tak Lagi Lake, Bengkulu, Friday, March 11, said that the water extraction procession was one of a series of plans for President Joko Widodo's working visit to the new capital city, which would be accompanied by all governors throughout Indonesia.

"This is a form of Bengkulu's participation in supporting the government's efforts in realizing the new nation's capital city," said Khairil.

The selection of water intake in Lake Dendam Tak Already and Bung Karno's Exile because both of them are tourism objects that are the pride of the people of Bengkulu Province, especially Bengkulu City.

The head of the Bengkulu Customary Deliberation Board (BMA), Effendi explained, based on the customs and habits of the people in the Malay country, especially including the Bengkulu and Kalimantan provinces, they have the same emotional descent as internal children.

"We sent water according to the request of the Central Government to participate in Bengkulu Province contributing to approving and welcoming the City of Nusantara which is the new capital city of Indonesia," he said.

It is known that Bengkulu Province, one of the provinces, took part in supporting the relocation of the new capital city of the archipelago in East Kalimantan (Kaltim).

Therefore, the Bengkulu Provincial Government held a traditional procession in the form of taking springs at Lake Dendam Tak Already and Bung Karno's Exile House and taking land at Bung Karno's House.
