JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has decided to continue implementing limited face-to-face learning (PTM) with a capacity of 50 percent even though it has entered PPKM Level 2.

The Head of Public Relations of the DKI Jakarta Education Agency, Taga Radja Gah, said that there was no new policy regarding easing the capacity of PTMs to 100 percent again.

"Schools are still implementing 50 percent PTM until there is a new policy. This is also at the discretion of the regions to implement PPKM Level 2," said Taga when contacted, Thursday, March 10.

However, Taga did not rule out the possibility that the DKI Provincial Government would implement 100 percent PTM. However, this is still being coordinated with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

"Yesterday we also had a brief briefing regarding the condition of PPKM Level 2. So, indeed for the Education Office there has been no further direction regarding this matter because we are waiting for a policy from the Ministry of Education and Technology," said Taga.

For information, the central government gives discretion to regional heads whose districts/cities apply PPKM Level 2 to implement PTM with a capacity of 100 percent or 50 percent.

However, not all regions need to limit PTM to 50 percent. For PPKM level 2 areas that are ready to implement Limited PTM in accordance with the Decree of the Four Ministers and the spread of COVID-19 is under control, schools in these areas can still implement Limited PTM with 100 percent student capacity.

Thus, the method of implementing learning is through blended learning, namely learning in class and learning online.

In a week, PTM is held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Meanwhile, on Tuesday and Thursday, disinfectant was sprayed throughout the school environment.
