Customs And Excise Grants 2 Wooden Speedboats Worth Rp. 100 Million To The Regency Government Of Indragiri Hilir Riau
Two wooden speedboats with a capacity of 40 PK which were donated by the Tembilahan Customs Service Office (ANTARA)

RIAU - The Tembilahan Customs Office gave two 40 PK wooden speedboats to the Indragiri Hilir (Inhil) Regency Government, Riau to be used as water ambulances that can serve the community.

Head of the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DJBC) Riau Agus Yulianto said that two wooden ships belonging to the state had received grant approval according to regulations by the Minister of Finance.

Agus said the speedboat that was donated was a form of concern for Tembilahan Customs so that it could be used as sea transportation for the mobilization needs of coastal communities.

"The background of the grant is the geographical location of Inhil which consists of small islands around the coastal area. This makes speedboats very important as a means of transportation needed for daily community mobilization, including to reach health facilities," said Agus in Tembilahan, Between, Wednesday, March 9th.

The two speedboats with a value of Rp. 100 million will be donated to two villages in Inhil, namely Tanjung Pasir Village and Kuala Selat Village. Both villages are coastal villages with indigenous people from Indragiri Hilir Regency, the Duanu Tribe.

Agus asked that this water ambulance can be used and treated so that it can be used in the long term.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Riau Duanu Family Association (IKDR) Inhil Regency, Hasanuddin, representing the two village heads who received the grant, expressed his gratitude for the water ambulance grant provided. He explained that people living in coastal areas really need this transportation.

"We really need a helping hand from the government. Alhamdulillah, a few months ago we had a discussion with the head of KPPBC TMP C Tembilahan, that there are two speedboats that will be destroyed, then I gave the idea to make it a sea ambulance, because the community really needs it," he said.

He admitted, coastal communities really need sea transportation as access to health services. Hopefully with this grant assistance can help the community, especially in Tanjung Pasir Village and Kuala Selat Village.
