BANYUWANGI - Clashes between martial arts schools have occurred again in Banyuwangi, East Java. In order to prevent repeated clashes, the Banyuwangi Police immediately alerted hundreds of personnel.
The clash took place in the Bangorejo sub-district, Banyuwangi. The cause of the clashes is still unknown.
"We have deployed 342 personnel to be alerted to this incident," said Head of the Banyuwangi Police's Ops Section, Kompol Agung Setyo Budi, Wednesday, March 9.
Kompol Agung said one injured person had received medical treatment. His condition has improved.
"The victim after receiving medical treatment was immediately escorted home accompanied by an Intel colleague from the Banyuwangi Police," explained Agung.
From the results of the medical examination, the victim's injuries were not hit by a sharp object but from a blunt object.
"After we checked, the injured victims were caused by being hit by a blunt object, not a sharp object," Agung explained.
Agung said that until this afternoon the conditions in the field had been conducive.
