JAKARTA - PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) (Persero) is facing the problem of ownership of assets in the form of land in Medan, North Sumatra (Sumut), which is allegedly controlled by the private sector. KAI requested the assistance of the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), General Andika Perkasa.

The board of directors of PT KAI then held an audience to visit the TNI Commander. This is the second time hearings have been held regarding the same issue.

"The follow-up to our hearing with the President Director and General some time ago. Today we will present the plan to request assistance from the Commander in Chief to PT KAI in order to control our assets which are controlled by the private sector", said the Director of Safety and Security of PT KAI, John Robertho, quoted by VOI from General TNI Andika Perkasa's YouTube, Wednesday 9 March.

In this second hearing, the board of directors of PT KAI explained in more detail the problems that occurred. Including details of the area of land that is in dispute to planning for security in the context of the execution of the land.

It is known that the land owned by PT KAI has gone through a judicial process starting from the district court, to the Supreme Court's cassation decision. In response, the TNI Commander will first conduct legal research on the civil court status of PT KAI's land before taking further action.

"I want to communicate first with the Supreme Court (MA). Whether later the disputing parties will then apply for a PK again or not so that I know exactly that the position of KAI is final, not sure. It's safer for us to communicate with the MA because I can't immediately execute before the Supreme Court, it ends in the Supreme Court", said the TNI Commander.

Communication will be carried out directly by the TNI Commander to the Supreme Court in order to find out how far the judicial process is taking place so that it does not act wrongly.

"So we need to be careful, if the process is ongoing, we can't just execute it. If we execute it, we assume it belongs to us.
