Boosting Vaccinations Up To 80 Percent Before MotoGP, NTB Provincial Government Adds 5 Health Workers To Every Health Center

NTB - The Provincial Government of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) continues to boost the second dose of vaccination according to the 80 percent target given by the central government before the implementation of MotoGP on March 18-20, 2022.

"Currently we are focusing on pursuing vaccinations of up to 80 percent for the second dose according to the central government's target," said Assistant III of the NTB Provincial Government Secretariat, Dr. Nurhandini Eka Dewi in Mataram, Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

He explained that of the 10 regencies and cities in NTB, Central Lombok was the one with the most vaccinations boosted. Given, this area is the location for the MotoGP host at the Mandalika Circuit.

"The latest data for Central Lombok has 76.74 percent of vaccinations for the second dose. Meanwhile, other areas have also reached 70 percent," he said.

According to the former Head of the NTB Health Office, to pursue this target, the provincial government and Central Lombok have agreed to add five health workers to each Puskesmas.

"We have formed an additional vaccination team at each health center so there are five officers, so the total is 3,500 people," said Dr. Eka.

When asked about the vaccination target for Central Lombok Regency, the former Head of the NTB Health Service, emphasized that it will be completed before MotoGP or March 11, 2022.

"So for Central Lombok, it will be completed before March 11," he said.
