KUR Corruption Allegations In Central And East Lombok, Prosecutor's Office Examines 2 BNI Analyst Officers

Investigating prosecutors examine one of two standard credit analysts at PT BNI as a witness in the alleged corruption case of people's business credit funds (KUR) (ANTARA)

NTB - Special Criminal Investigators of the NTB High Prosecutor's Office examined two standard credit analysts at PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) in handling cases of alleged corruption in the people's business credit funds (KUR) in Central Lombok and East Lombok.

"The two people being examined in the investigation process have the capacity as witnesses," said the spokesman for the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Agung Sutoto, in Mataram, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

As a standard credit analyst at PT BNI, according to Agung, both of them were asked for information regarding the customer data verification process. "The customer data comes from the KUR recipients," he said.

During the examination, which took place on Tuesday morning, the two were accompanied by staff from the Legal Officer (Legal Officer) of PT BNI. The progress of the investigation into the alleged corruption of KUR funds at PT BNI is still in the examination of witnesses which will lead to a search for potential state losses.

This examination has been going on since the beginning of last week and will run a marathon. Four of the five previous village heads had undergone a series of examinations. They are Kwang Rundun Village Head, Seriwe Village Head, Ekas Buana Village Head, and Sekaroh Village Head.

The handling of this case was previously under the control of the East Lombok District Attorney. The NTB Prosecutor's Office will take over the handling in 2021.

This financial assistance program for farming communities comes from the Ministry of Agriculture. Its realization began with the visit of a director general to East Lombok Regency in the period of August 2020.

During his visit, the state official met with farmers and provided information about the existence of the KUR assistance program through banking facilities.

Based on this information, collected 622 farmers from five villages in the southern part of East Lombok received proposals to enter as recipients of KUR funds.

Those who accepted the proposal came from among corn farmers. Each farmer was promised a cash loan of IDR 15 million for the area of land per hectare, so that out of the 662 farmers the total area of land included in the funding reached 1,582 hectares.

Continued among tobacco farmers. As many as 460 people were recorded in the data on proposals for aid recipients. In his promise, each farmer gets funds from KUR in the amount of Rp. 30 million to Rp. 50 million.

With such data collection, the farmers who are registered in the proposed data for KUR recipients are required to undergo a loan administration process. A number of signed files.

In the process, the role of a third party, namely PT ABB and the management of the NTB HKTI was involved. They act as government partners.

For the administrative purposes of corn farmers, they run the process of applying for KUR funds with BNI Mataram Branch. Meanwhile, for tobacco farmers through BNI Praya Branch.

Regarding the existence of PT ABB as a third party, it is strongly suspected that it received a direct appointment from the ministry. Likewise with the involvement of the NTB HKTI management.

Problems in this case also emerged when a number of farmers applied for loans to BRI. The application could not be processed due to ongoing KUR arrears at BNI.

Their arrears also varied, ranging from Rp. 15 million to Rp. 45 million. The value depends on the ownership of the land area. However, until now it has been revealed that the farmers claim to have never received the credit funds.
