Starting Today, Pertamina Will Lower The Retail Price Of Fuel

JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) announced a reduction in the new reference price for fuel oil (BBM) in early 2020. This price reduction will apply to all types of gasoline and diesel, as of today Sunday, December 5 2020 at 00.00 local time.

The new price adjustment is stipulated in the Ministerial Decree (Kepmen) of ESDM 187K / 10 / MEM / 2019 concerning the Basic Price Formula in the Calculation of the Retail Selling Price for General Oil Fuel Types, Types of Gasoline and Diesel Oil, which is Distributed through Public Fuel Filling Stations or Filling Stations. "The adjustment of general fuel prices is a corporate action that refers to the applicable regulations set by the government," said Pertamina's Vice President for Corporate Communication, Fajriyah Usman in a press release.

Fajriyah Usman explained that the reduction in the price of conventional diesel and gasoline will vary in each region because it is influenced by the amount of the Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) in each region.

However, Pertamina has confirmed that it will reduce fuel prices for the type of Pertamax, Pertamax Turbo, Pertamina Dex and Dexlite. Meanwhile, the price of Pertalite has not changed.

"We have coordinated with relevant agencies and ensure that services to the community continue to run well, especially loyal customers of Pertamina's superior products," he added.

Following are the price adjustments for the Jakarta area:

1. Pertamax from the price of IDR 9,850 / liter has decreased to IDR 9,200 / liter.

2. Pertamax Turbo from the price of Rp. 11,200 / liter has decreased to Rp. 9,900 / liter.

3. Pertamina Dex from the price of IDR 11,700 / liter has decreased to IDR 10,200 / liter.

4. Dexlite from the price of IDR 10,200 / liter has decreased to IDR 9,500 / liter.

With this price adjustment, it is hoped that it can increase the loyalty of the people who have become loyal customers of Pertamina's products. This is also the company's effort to encourage the public to use quality fuel products.

Not only Pertamina which is a state-owned company. Total and Shell, which are privately owned companies, are also compact in reducing their fuel prices per 2020.
