JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) suspects that there was an order against the law from certain parties during the implementation of the church construction project in Mimika, Papua. This allegation was investigated by examining two witnesses.
Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement, Ali Fikri, said the two witnesses examined were the Project Manager Coordinator of PT Waringin Megah and the private sector, Achilees Hugo Krisna Noya. They were questioned at the East Java Representative Office of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) on Monday, March 7th.
Of the two, the KPK studied several matters related to technical implementation. Including the alleged direction to go against the law when the church construction project was carried out.
"The two witnesses were present and confirmed, among others, regarding the technical implementation carried out by the contractor and planning consultant where it is suspected that there are certain directions from parties related to this case to override legal rules in the process of implementing project work later", said Ali.
Actually, the KPK will also examine another witness who is a private party or the Estimator Team of PT Waringin Megah, Julistiana. However, Ali said he was not present at the examination scheduled by investigators.
