PALEMBANG - The Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman monitored the COVID-19 vaccination service activities which were attended by hundreds of people in Palembang City, South Sumatra, today.

The Army Chief of Staff and his wife who is also the General Chair of Persit Kartika Candra Kirana (KCK) Center Rahma Dudung Abdurachman took the time to monitor the vaccination raids carried out by the vaccinator team of Kodam II/Sriwijaya in collaboration with Kimia Farma at the Balai Prajurit Jalan Sekanak Palembang.

Dudung said that his party was trying to support the acceleration of vaccination services to maximize communal immunity from transmission of the new type of Corona virus.

To support the acceleration of vaccination services to the community to remote areas of the country, his party optimizes the role of the vaccinator team from the Kodam ranks.

In general, the first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccination services nationally went well according to the targets set by the government.

As in South Sumatra, the COVID-19 vaccination for the first dose has reached over 92 percent and the second dose is 66 percent more than the target of 6.3 million people.

"Nevertheless, vaccination services need to be continuously promoted so that they can reach 100 percent of the target to achieve maximum communal immunity from COVID-19 transmission," said the Army Chief of Staff at the location, Antara, Monday, March 7.
