JAKARTA - The police said that a self-styled general, Yusuf Daiman, carried out a fraudulent act by claiming to have collateral of Rp. 30 trillion. Where, the victim will get a share as long as it helps provide funds of Rp. 1 billion.

"Suspect YD promised the victim that he could get Rp. 20 billion on condition that the victim was willing to transfer Rp. 1 billion as a standby fund," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol.

In fact, to further convince the victim, the suspect argued that the collateral was managed by a company headed by his wife. With this trick, the victim agreed to the suspect's request.

"The perpetrator ordered the victim to sign a withdrawal slip of Rp. 1 billion from the account of PT Mega Rizky Mandiri," said Zulpan.

However, the victim, who became suspicious, took the initiative to trace the suspect's statement. He also plans to visit Bank Mandiri Sudirman, South Jakarta to check the collateral funds.

However, at that time the suspect introduced a person named Gus Solah who claimed to be a Bank Mandiri official.

"That person handed a withdrawal slip to the victim because according to spaceman, the victim, on behalf of Rizky Pria Lesmana, signed a withdrawal slip of Rp. 1 billion," said Zulpan.

In fact, in this trick, the suspect promised the victim that he would get a Toyota Fortuner as the project vehicle. However, the victim was again required to send Rp35 million before the car was handed over.

"So the victim went to Bank Mandiri Perumnas Klender Branch to block the funds in PT MRM's account, Rp. 1 billion of funds had already entered PT MRM's account," he said.

Until finally, the victim who felt cheated immediately reported the case to the Duren Sawit Police. Not long after, the suspect was arrested in one of the banks.

"Then the police took the suspect into custody because there were no police officers in their clothes and names with the nameplate with the rank of Commissioner General," said Zulpan.
