MEULABOH - West Aceh Regent H Ramli MS suggested that the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas communicate more often with a number of religious leaders who are members of the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) to increase national harmony and unity.

"This coordination is important and needs to be done, because FKUB is a forum for communicating with interfaith," said Ramli MS, in Meulaboh, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 5.

According to him, with this communication, every time a policy is conveyed to the public by the Minister of Religion, it is hoped that it will not cause noise or misunderstanding in the community as has been the case so far.

Ramli MS who is also the Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Branch of Aceh Barat Regency also explained that several statements made by Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas so far have caused various reactions in the community throughout the country.

He was sure that the statement made by the minister of religion was actually meant to be good. But then it became an issue in the community and this became the spotlight in the community.

For this reason, Ramli hopes that the Minister of Religion Yaqut makes FKUB a forum for communicating with cross-religious leaders, before conveying anything related to the worship activities of Muslims or other religious people.

"In the future, it is hoped that there will be no more polemics in the community, such as the issue of regulating the sound of the call to prayer, and a number of other comments that have become hot discussions throughout the country in the past week," he said.
