KPK Alleged Regent Abdul Gafur Received Money-Goods Tribute From Companies Working On Projects At PPU

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating allegations of giving tribute in the form of money and goods to North Penajam Paser Regent (PPU) Abdul Gafur Mas'ud from a private party working on a project in his area.

Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Ali Fikri said the investigation was carried out by examining three witnesses, namely the Director of PT Damar Putra Mandiri, Dede Fachrizal; representative of PT Borneo Sumber Minarl, Abdullah Santoso; and a private employee named Faisal Rifky Perdana. All three were examined on Tuesday, March 1 yesterday.

"The witnesses were present and their knowledge was examined, among others, regarding the alleged various flows of money and the giving of a number of goods as a form of tribute from several companies working on projects at the PPU Regency Government for the AGM suspect," said Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Sector Ali Fikri in a written statement, Wednesday. , March 2.

Actually, the KPK will also investigate the alleged receipt of bribes by Abdul Gafur related to the procurement of goods and services as well as permits from three other witnesses. However, Ali said they were not present and would be rescheduled.

"Employees of PT Prima Surya Silica, A Yora; Director of PT Bara Widya Utama Aat Prawira; and Director of PT BM Energy Inti, Bisyri Mustofa were not present and confirmed to the investigative team for rescheduling," he said.

As previously reported, the Corruption Eradication Commission appointed Abdul Gafur with the Plt Secretary of North Penajam Paser Regency, Mulyadi; Head of Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning of North Penajam Paser Regency Edi Hasmoro; and Head of the North Penajam Paser District Education, Youth and Sports Office, Jusman, and the Balikpapan Democratic Party DPC General Treasurer, Nur Afifah Balqis as bribe recipients.

Meanwhile, as a suspect for giving bribes, the KPK has named a private party named Achmad Zudi. These six people have been named as suspects in alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services as well as granting permits in North Penajam Paser Regency.
