In The Near Future Prosecutor Pinangki Will Be Tried

JAKARTA - The investigation files of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari have been transferred to the public prosecutor. That way, Pinangki will soon be on trial in connection with the case he is currently trapping.

This is because the public prosecutor has a maximum of 14 working days to draft the Pinangki indictment for trial.

The files submitted are related to the case of alleged bribery for fatwa processing so that Djoko Tjandra is not executed by the Supreme Court and money laundering crime (TPPU).

"The Investigative Prosecutor of the Junior Attorney General's Special Crimes Investigation Directorate has handed over the responsibility of the suspect and the evidence (transfer of case files for phase II) in the corruption and money laundering cases on behalf of the PSM suspect, to the Public Prosecutor at the Central Jakarta District Attorney "said Kapuspenkum AGO Hari Setyono in an official statement, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 15.

According to Hari, Pinangki was originally going to be tried at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court. "It will immediately be delegated to the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court," Hari said.

Hari detailed, the Pinangki case file was filed under Article 5 paragraph (2) letter a of Law Number 31 Year 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Corruption. Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 19 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Corruption Crimes. Then article 3 of Law Number 8 Year 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of Money Laundering (TPPU).

"After the handover and examination of the suspect and evidence have been completed, the PSM suspect will then be detained at the detention center for a period of 20 days from Tuesday, September 15 2020 to October 4, 2020 at the Salemba Detention Center, Attorney General's Office," he said.

Meanwhile, Pinangki was named a suspect for allegedly accepting bribes related to the fatwa so that Djoko Tjandra would not be executed in a cessie case or the right to collect Bank Bali in the Supreme Court. Pinangki allegedly accepted a bribe worth 500 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp7 billion from Djoko.

Meanwhile, the Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Ardiansyah, said that after the delegation of this statement, his party would focus on completing the case files for the two other suspects. Namely the files of Djoko Tjandra and former Nasdem politician Andi Irfan Jaya.

"I am sure that if this Pinangki is already running, yes the children (investigators) will concentrate on the second case. Joko Tjandra is concentrating maybe joining the police file and then Andi Irfan," he said.

Meanwhile, Djoko Tjandra was named a suspect for allegedly giving bribes related to the MA fatwa. Meanwhile, Andi Ifran Jaya is suspected of brokering Djoko Tjandra's bribes to Pinangki.
